First, we wanted to thank you for supporting Riverside Ranch. God has done immeasurably
more than we could hope or dream of since we opened our facility almost six years ago! Second, we want to take a few minutes to update you on our plans for 2026 and beyond.
Our mission is “Sharing Christ’s love by supporting individuals with special needs and those navigating grief through community, interaction with horses, and engagement with nature.”
We serve the local community through our day retreats, adaptive horsemanship lessons, distributing grief care boxes, and forming relationships with the community/volunteers. We have a unique calling and see God’s hand in the work and relationships at the Ranch every day.
We want our facility to be sustainable. Riverside Ranch does not exist without
our donors! For spring this year, we offer Adaptive Horsemanship lessons that serve participants with special needs, disabilities, and children going through grief. We will host a Children/Family grief group on April 25th focused on helping children navigate grief. We also will host service project days for a school class, a church group, and a local nonprofit to come out to Riverside Ranch. These groups help us maintain our facility by cleaning up leaves, manure, etc. We are able to share our story with these groups while they enjoy time in community and in God’s creation.
This summer, we are very grateful to offer a Horse Loss Day Retreat on Friday June 19th for adults navigating the loss of their horse.
As we continue to serve our community in Jesus’ name, we are in need of more monthly giving partners and one-time gifts. Would you partner with us to allow us to continue our God given vision and mission to show Christ’s love to the community? We pray for God to prepare hearts in advance of receiving this letter. We are looking forward to seeing how He raises this money.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 by May 15th to support our horses, programs, and to keep our facility running for the next six months as well as replace our reserves from the expense of Bear’s surgery and additional paddock we built for his recovery.
OUR NEED:
Here is a breakdown of what the funds will be used for:
Monthly feed cost for 3 horses = $480 x 6 months = $2,880
Monthly per horse for hay/grass seed/fertilizer $225 each x 3 = $675 x 6 months = $4,050
Monthly farrier (new shoes and hooves trimmed) $345 for 3 horses x 6 months = $2,070
Monthly medicine for Beau $50 x 6 = $300
Bear’s surgery and paddock cost, help us put funds we spent back in reserve
Paddock construction cost $3,500
Bear’s surgery and follow up care $2,000
Purchase new helmets for Adaptive Horsemanship Program $200
Total needed: $15,000
Thank you for your prayerful consideration and support!
